EDITORIAL STANDARDS
What I Stand For
I built GlowingMark to help people decide what is worth owning, how to use it properly and how to keep it working longer.
I do not believe something deserves a recommendation simply because it can be bought. GlowingMark starts with the reader’s job, problem or ownership decision. Commerce comes after understanding.
Recommendations Have to Earn Their Place
A product is not automatically included because it is popular, highly rated, expensive, a bestseller, available on Amazon or capable of earning a commission. I look for fit: what job it performs, who it suits, meaningful specifications, compatibility, ownership burden, maintenance, durability, value and limitations.
When one product genuinely resolves the decision, one recommendation can be enough. I do not manufacture Best Overall, Best Budget and Best Premium tiers simply to create more links.
No Fake Testing
I will not say or imply that I bought, owned, tested, measured, personally compared or used a product long term unless that experience actually happened. When an assessment is based on research rather than hands-on use, the writing must not disguise that distinction.
Manufacturer information can establish specifications and manufacturer claims. It does not automatically prove superiority, durability or real-world performance.
No-Purchase Is a Real Verdict
An honest conclusion can be to buy, choose another product, repair instead of replace, keep what you own, delay the purchase, spend less, spend more when a real constraint justifies it, or buy nothing.
Affiliate Independence
GlowingMark may earn money from qualifying purchases through affiliate links. That commercial relationship does not buy a product a favorable verdict. Commission may help identify commercially useful subjects worth researching; it does not decide what I conclude.
Corrections and Changes
Products, specifications, destinations and ownership conditions change. Material factual errors should be corrected when identified. Articles may also be updated when products change, become unavailable or are replaced, or when better evidence materially changes the decision.
Safety Where It Matters
GlowingMark is not a medical publication and does not paste medical disclaimers onto unrelated equipment articles. Where a subject creates a real mechanical, electrical, lifting, pressure, fuel, fire or other safety decision, the relevant limits and warnings belong in the article itself.
The standard is simple: useful before promotional, evidence before confidence, and trust before one extra click.
